Matthew Driskill began his higher education at the University of Oklahoma before seeking his fortune in the oilfields of Oklahoma. Realizing that school was not such a bad gig, he returned to university, earning a Bachelor’s of Arts and a Master’s Degree in journalism.
Driskill earned his Master’s Degree from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University in New York in 1989. He was named the John J. McCloy Fellow by the school and the American Council on Germany and reported on environmental issues in a then-divided Germany.
